I'm looking at buying a Rock River Arms 9mm upper for my Government carbine. The ad says that the upper comes complete with charging handle and bolt carrier group.I am trying to figure out what else is neccessary to get the rifle firing.I see on the 9mm page at their website that they have "9mm conversion mag well blocks" (that drop in from the top of the lower receiver) for sale seperately.Do these mag well conversion blocks require any gunsmithing?I don't understand what keeps them in the receiver, the ad says it is the same block used by Colt but isn't the Colt block pinned in?Thanks in advance for any/all help,Josey

I can tell you Rock River Arms makes a good AR-15 I think everything should come with everything you need. The 9mm is alot cheaper to shoot to. The conversion mag should come with the kit,the ones you seen are probably spare mags. A friend bought one and his only complaint was loading the short 9mm in the stiff mags. Hope this helps. If not give the folks at Rock River a call.
