What is a fair price to pay for a used PC-9 in VG-EX conditon? Any reason why a Ruger 9mm pistol shooter should consider another brand carbine or not get the PC-9? How do you like yours and what type of shooting do you use it or practice for? Thanks.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

I bought a PC-9 in excellent condition last year for $250. It's currently in my patrol car, as I wanted an intermediate weapon besides my handgun, shotgun, and .223. I've found it to be very accurate from 50-75 yards. With the extra velocity gained from the longer barrel, and loaded with Hydra-Shock 124 grain +P+ hollowpoints, I feel completely comfortable in using it as a patrol weapon.

Ruger upped the price tag on their carbines in the 2002 catalog. I would say in good shape Any where from $300.00 to $350.00 they are very reliable, good shooting guns. Mine will shoot any thing I put in it.They will also except the P series Hi Cap Mags which are still fairly easy to come by. They are alot of fun to shoot. As far as what you can use it for the possibilities are endless. They sure make a nice self defense carbine,or they are good to carry around the farm.

    Good Luck.
