Sig or Glock

I am thinking of getting another 9mm pistol soon, and I can't decide between a Glock or a Sig. If I get a Glock, it will be the smallest one (I believe its a 26), and if I get a Sig, it will be the standard 226. Forgive me if I'm off with the numbers.

My Number one consideration is reliability. I'm also interested in price info. Any input is appreciated.

    Get a real Gun buy a 1911 Colt not a clone but a Colt 70's series or older. I been a Colt fan since I enlisted in 1960(Army) been there done that retired from a big city police department, carried a Colt 1911(plainclothes was allowed if they could qualify)I still carry a 1911 in a Galco rig. I now work in the private sector as an Investigator and it's 1911 all the way. I prefer to carry a light weight Commander with a full length guide rod and Good ammo.

    Your comparing apples too oranges... It all depends on how much you spend.... Some will argue that glocks are great firearms... but I doubt many will pit it against the superiority of the Sig. All comes down too (you get what you pay for.)

    I believe the g27 is the subcompact, it's caliber is 40 S&W. The Glock and Sigs are fine pistols but my vote goes to the Sig 226. Its a full size pistol and is the most accurate pistol I have. If this is for carry or defensive use you might think about getting the Sig 226 in 40 S&W. Rent both pistols at a range and see for yourself which you prefer. I am sure either will handle your needs adequately.

    Sorry forgot some of your questions. I paid $580.00 for my Sig new and $490.00 For the Glock, also new. Either gun is extremely reliable, I've easily fired over 5000 rounds through each. The Glock being smaller has much more recoil than the full sized Sig and for me accuracy seems to suffer after firing about 100 rounds through it (flinching) But I feel comfortable carrying it. The 226 I can shoot all day without accuracy problems. Hope this helps.

    The Sig is a much better gun than the Glock in my opinion. I would go with the Sig.

    SIG, SIG, SIG. P229 my choice.

    I like 1911s too, but you limited the choice to SIG or Glock.

    SIG, SIG, SIG, SIG, SIG.....AND DID I MENTION SIG? OTHER THAN THAT, GET A SIG OR A SIG. THE GLOCK IS GREAT, BUT IT'S NOT IN THE SAME CATAGORY AS A SIG. SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION ON THIS DUPLICATE TOPIC AGAIN, SIG. GD
