Need Old Holster Help

1. Just bought a Colt Army D.A. 38 [1901 by serial number].
It came with a holster and web belt. The holster has
Rock Island Arsenal 1908 H.E.K. on the back flap.
The web belt is olive with a copper/brass buckle
with a "US" on one end that hooks inside the other
half. Value? Rarity? Any info appreciated.

2. Also bought a Colt Police Positive with very odd
holster. Made by Moose Brand Leather Goods. All one
piece. Was made for a "fock" coat" / "gambler" hide
away. Beautifull leather in excellent condition. Any
idea what I have? The Colt PP is dated as a first issue
by serial number.

Thanks for any infomation.

What ever you do KEEP them together. Reenactors are wild about complete sets and will pay big bucks for them. I would get some really good digital photos and put them up for auction on Gunbroker with a healthy reserve(November)this is a true appraisal. I feel that the very small price that you pay for listing and will give you the REAL world value not some guestimate from a wannabe.

I don't know the $$$ value of your sets, but I agree with e.tn.ret.cop that you should keep the sets together.....especially the Colt DA one. I suspect that GI holsters and web belts for that one are quite rare.

    Thanks for the help guys.
Will keep the set together. I made
a very neat[in my opinion] display
for the set and it will still be here
    when I assume room temp.
    Thanks again,
    bud

Nice stuff, one tiny problem,The belt should be khaki for the period. It should have the hang down ammo pockets.
