Hello All.

While browsing for cheap scopes for 10/22 I came upon this one:

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/cdnn/newcen4xfuls.html

I looked on google, but nothing other then this store. Nothing in
rec.guns, or in the whole usenet. Can somebody tell me, why is this
scope so cheap?

Eugene.

    Because it is junk.

That sounds flippant, and I did not mean it that way. The glass alone for a quality scope will cost the manufacturer more than the price of this scope, therefore it cannot be a scope of any quality.

Unfortunately, in optics especially, you get what you pay for. If you are satisfied with the clarity at different powers it should hold up ok with the minimal recoil of a 22.

I bought one recently from CDNN and I must say I really like it. It's ok for a .22. I bought the illuminated reticle one and it is matte black and even came with a set of rings for a grooved receiver. Just my opinion though. JAX
