I've seen Drum Mags for these and they look like AK mags, but say they only fit a RPD Machine Gun.

The RPD is a belt fed light machine gun. They are very similar to the RPK, except the RPK is fed by a magazine the same as the standard AK. The RPD uses a belt contained within the drums that you have seen advertised. Unlike a standard AK drum, the RPD drums are just an empty container which holds the belted ammo and then is attached to the gun and feed by the belt. There is no drive assembly, as there is in an AK drum mag. There were never any semi-auto RPD's made for this country, so the drums are basically worthless, other than a conversation piece.

    I hope this helps.
