i normally only use american made stuff, but i have decided to give some of the more affordable ammo a try. i'm thinking of maybe buying wolf, norinco, olympic or sellier and bellot bullets but i know nothing about them. i was just wondering if anyone had anything to say about the companies listed above.
p.s. thanks to all who helped me with my question about the dp 51

Best bet is to try a box for reliability on the lesser know foreign products. My problem with some ammo is that it just wasn't as accurate as other brands for reasons I can't figure out.

Good Luck.

I'll just advise you to go for Wolf or Sellier&Bellot - they're becoming really accurate (have been for several years) and cheap for both hunting and practising purposes.
Have had no probs keeping a 1.5inch groups at 200 metres with my former Mossberg .270Win (crappy gun, sold it... have a Steyr Scout .308 on the way)
I don't know if S&B gives the same guarantee in the US - as they do in Europe and Greenland.
If you encounter a misfire/clickie, just one bullet - they will exchange the whole box/pack for a new one.
Eventhough i've used 30.06 and .270 in excess of 1000rounds the past 2? year - i haven't had any clickie or change in accuracy at all.
I don't know about Norinco cartridges - and have only used Olympic for claytargets in my 12gauge.
Just thought you'd want a greenlandic thought too...

I love my silenced .22, the Winchester leveraction 30-30 and 357Mag... and offcourse any 12 gauge. =o)

if you shoot 9mm...the cheapest ammo you can find (when you consider shipping if you mail order) is the white box of 100 rounds at wal-mart. its $11.97 a box. That comes out cheaper per 1000 rounds than anything i have found in any store or mail order catalog...including internet auctions.
I've shot wolf ammo from my Maadi and have not had a single problem. Good, accurate ammo.

The .223 Wolf doesn't seem any more or less accurate than Winchester or Remington ammo in my AR15. It just costs ALOT less.
Now as for Wolf .45 ammo... I bought 500 rounds of it only to find out that it jammed up solid every third or fourth shot in my HK USP, my Ruger P97, my Dad's Colt and my friend's S&W.
