pre 64 model 70 weaver scope and mounts

I recently aquired a winchester model 70 manufactured in 1960-1961
it is in 264 win mag and is in great shape. not perfect but at worst 85-90 % the scope is a weaver v8 with three crosshairs both horizontal and vertical. it is a 2.5-8 power and does not have cross hair adjustments in the scope, rather it uses weaver adjustable scope rings. Are there any collectors for the weaver scopes and mounts? What would be fair value for this package.combined or seperate?
Thanks

    The book, Old Rifle Scopes by Stroebel shows that he Weaver V8 was made in 1965 and 1966. I recall that they were not very popular and the short production run bears that out. The book gives a value of $75 to $115. That was in 2000. I doubt that it would be worth much more than that today. The value is in the rifle and I doubt that it would bring much more money with the scope than without it.

    Ratsky;

    Herschel is correct. I have picked up a few on "sleazebay" for about $65 in the past year. Good scope once you get it set.

    I'm thinking of asking for $1100.00 for the package. and just seeing where it will go. what do you think?
