Penn Reel Corrosion

Just bought two used Penn reels. A no.77 and a no.78. The no.78 has corrosion, what is the best way to remove the corrosion?

    Bill, I work in the gulf of mexico..Some of the guy's use drinking COKE..then we use this stuff made by brasso..We call it Sheila shine..I do not know where you live..In louisiana you can get it at any oilfield supply store..Good LuckWayne

    Thank you Wayne--I'll try the COKE first.I live in central Florida, so I may have to take a roadtrip to La. for the Brasso and stop off for some fine Cajun food.Bill the fisherman.
