I have a quick somewhat silly question. What are the differences between the 1911 and 1991 Colt models. I can't remember and a friend is looking and ask me. Also, has anyone had any experience with the Rock Island Armory 1911 copy? Good or bad does not matter. Doing research. Thank you in advance.

The Colt M1991A1 is an updated version of the M1911/M1911A1. It has the long trigger of the M1911, improved ejection, beveled magazine well, combat style hammer, and firing pin safety. Of course, it also takes advantage of space age materials (read: plastic trigger and mainspring housing).
