AK-47 single stack mag question??

Does a Romac AK-47 single stack rifle use the Maddi single stack mags? I had heared that not all the single stack AK-47 mags were inchangeable...............Let me know if you know something for sure......Thanks

    None of the different single stack AK mags are interchangeable. All of the different countries made their single stack AK's independantly of one another. As where the standard AK's were just that, STANDARD, the single stacks were made for the US market to get around the import restrictions of 1997. Each country did their's differently, there was no coordinated plan. You'll find that a lot of the Egyptian ones have to be fitted, just to work in the Egyptian guns. That's not to say that they couldn't be modified to fit the Romanian. The Romanian mags are available. If that is what you need, I'd just get those in the first place.

    does this mean that the egyptian AK and the romanian use different mags? I just ordered one and it was egyptian...might have to change my order if thats the case.

    Pikeal1, this applies to the single stack models only. In the single stack models, the Egyptian and Romanian mags DO NOT interchange. In the double stack models their magazines do interchange.
