you can not get a finer shooting and more accurate rifle cartrige than the .222.as far as the availability of ammo?..... .222 ammo is cheap and readly available!.........i live in oroville california, a small town in northern california. most everything here is about 10% highethan everywere else just because there isnt another sporting goods store for 25 miles. .222 ammo is only 11.00 a box... i reload my own as i live in the home town of rcbs and get allof my reloading equiptment for a song here.i can reload 1000 rounds of premium ammo with nosler ballistic tip amoo for around 25.00....brass is only 18.00 a hundred, so brass is pretty cheap too.if you dont go over board and really stoke them up, a couple hundred rounds of brass can last a loooooooooooong time.i think that almost every manufacturer chambers a weapon in .222 remington.my sugestion to you though, as ive shot probably 20 different guns in .222 is to look around and find a higher quality weapon.i shoot a sako l46. you can definatilly tell the difference in quality. the .222 is a mild recoil catridge , but i think that once you shoot one, youll like it so much it will become your favorite rifle. ive got 32 uns, and about 80% of the time i go hunting, i reach for the .222good luck to you and happpppppy shooting!
