I have purchased a older "serial 31XXX" ruger 22 automatic pistol. The mag that came with the gun leaves alittle to be desired. Where or Which mag fits this model, Will the Mark I fit ?Thanks Guys

Is it a Mk1?My understanding is that the Mk1's had 9-round magazines; the Mk2's had 10-rounders.I did note that Ruger has listed in their 2002 catalog, magazines for the Mk1's, so you can get a new one if that's what you need.

The Ruger mags can be puzzling. The EARLY 22 autos had the magazine button on the RIGHT side of the mag. Later MK I's had the mag button on the LEFT as do the MK II's. If your mag has side slots only on one side, the mag can only be used as made. Some mags have the slots on BOTH sides. These can be converted to work in either variety. I have three of them with the button on the right side and one with the double slots. If you need another I could spare one.e-mail me ---fatalbrt@cdsnet.net---
