I currectly own a sportirized 30-40 Krag Rifle and I would like to make it back to full military. So I'm looking for a walnut stock in very good-excellent shape. Any help will be grateful.

These are very tough to find. Ive been looking at auction sites for two years for a handguard for my Krag carbine. I recently saw an excellant shape stock and handguard (out of a museum)for my rifle at an auction site. On the first day the bidding was up to 300.00 I didnt bother to watch it after that.

You need to visit this web site for the Krag stock. They have nice reproductions, I believe the best. They also have an original, but as has been said, it goes for 300.00. The reproductions are 200.00. Hope this helps.Ooops! forgot the link, here ya go. http://dupagetrading.com/stocks.htm#

Boyds Gunstocks is also currently making replicas, as does the Great American Gunstock Co.
