Forum,Does anyone even use the monsters? I would like to hear feedback on what you think the advantages are. Do the 3 1/2" shells even pattern well? Are they really that much better than the 3" shells? I have alot of 3" shells to shoot before I buy the big boys. Thanks for reading...let me know what you think.

Two of my hunting buddys use them in there pump guns. They are always missing opportunities for second shots because they don`t pull the forearm back far enough to cycle the old shell out.I`ve never felt the need to use them .I think the new generation of non toxic loads are far superior to steel and therefore negates the need for 3.5 inch shells. The extra recoil always leaves there shoulders bruised. I don`t need the punishment and I go home with just as much game as they do.

I love my HK/Benelli Super Black Eagle. A gun for all seasons. Options for the "Big Birds". Very fast! Little heavy for upland. Best, Robert

I use 3.5" for goose and turkey. I agree the recoil from a pump is stought and sometimes painful. In a semiauto, not really that bad. No problem with patterning as long as you find the right combination of ammo and choke.

Considered a must in the times of magnumitis......fools get their kicks out of the kicks I suppose.Makes them feel manly. I'm still living in the past when the 2 3/4 mags were cosidered un-necessary for birds. Rest assured the birds aren't tougher but the hunter must be.
