Just picked up a Berretta "Silver Snipe" Wondered if anyone knew anything about its value, when it was made etc....The gun is mint other than a couple of handling marks.Thanks

1. You did not tell us if it was 12, 20, or 28 gauge. That makes a considerable difference.2. You did not tell us if it has extractors or the optional ejectors. That makes a considerable difference as well.3. You did not tell us if it has the optional single selective trigger. That makes a condiderable difference as well.4. You did not tell us if it has the optional vent-rib........ no, I won't say it.5. There should be a Roman numeral near the proof marks. If you will tell us what it is, then we can tell you the date of manufacture.Regards

I aopologize for the lack of info but i hadnt seen the gun yet.Here goes12 gaExtractors XX which means that it was made in 1964?Single trigger non selectableI am not sure what a vwnt rib is so i dont know if it has oneI cleaned the gun and is is mint accept for a few handling marks in the wood.Are Parts available for this?Thanks againSpeed

Speed:I am not trying to be a smart rear, it is just that lots of things can affect the value of a firearm.The 21st Edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values list it as being around $550-600. The 2001 Standard Catalog of Firearms list it for $375-400. Who is correct --- probably both are somewhere in the ballpark. The lower value is what would probably be offered if you took it to a gun show and was going to trade it in on something else. The upper value is probably what the person would want for the shotgun right after you traded it in.This model was in production from 1955 until 1967, and yes, yours was made in 1964Regards
