I'm thinking about trying a cold blue product like Blue Wonder or Brownells 44/40. I need some opinions on these or some other product.

attended a gunshow this past weekend andtalking with a couple of old time dealers, they mentioned a cold bluing product that is imported from england , they forgot the name of the product but felt it was imported through a company in Holland ,Michigan.. itsounded like the product was diluted with water and placed barrel etc.. into a tank filled with this solution. the longer it was in the tank the darker the barrel..has anyone heard of this product and can give me info on it.thanks

I am looking for the material and information to do cold bluing. I have some equipment that has a coating on the shafts that has worn off, it allows the bare metal to rust easily, looking for the cold bluing to keep from tearing the equipment down. I know "wally world" used to carry it, but have not been able to find it lately.
