Hi agian,I just saw the Beretta Vertec a few days ago for the first time. Is this new pistol as reliable and accurate as its brother the Beretta 96? And do you think it can even compare with the famous HK usp .40 in the relability and accuracy. Any info. would be very helful.

Do you think you would be able to put a regular beretta 96 barrel on a beretta vertec? The beretta vertecs barrel is a little shorter.

There aren't many differences between the 96 and 96 Vertec (note that the 92 is also available in a Vertec configuration). The main ones are a recontoured front and backstrap on the grip (flatter, less rounded), shorter trigger, dovetail front sight, and accessory rail. Should function exactly the same as a standard 92/96. It's meant to be more comfortable to shoot for small-handed folks than the standard 92/96, but I've heard that a lot of folks like it. http://www.berettausa.com/guns/pistols/92_96vertec/
