I just purchased a Ruger 101 in 357 Mag and am going to buy ammo. I see that 357, 357 Sig, and 357 Mag are all listed in my ammo catalog. What is the difference in these 3?Thanks,

    357& 357 mag are the same. 357sig is a bottleneck, semi-auto cartridge.

....And a dang mean bottle-neck cartridge for a semi-auto at that!

Check your Manual again or call Ruger. I don't think you can shoot the 357 Sig in the SP-101. I have a SP-101 and just got done looking trough the Manual and 357 Sig is not listed as an approved round of ammo. What is listed are 357 Magnum,.38 Special and .38 Special + P ammunition.
