How accurate is M9?

I'm looking at a Beretta M9, but a co-worker said he had a 92 that was terribly inaccurate.Is this typical, or should I expect reasonable accuracy from a full-size 9mm? Would our beloved guv'ment buy something that was that bad?Thanks all,Brisco

They are more accurate than most shooters of them. I consistantly qualify expert on our abused M-9's, and I'm no pistolero. It's a 25 yard course. I don't think you would be dissapointed with one.

Is it an actual US M9 or is it a 92 variant other than the 92SB?My experience with the military issue, at least the ones fired at army basic, the military issue M9's have loose tolerances, very rugged, reliable, but not nearly as accurate as its civilian brothers.
