Looking at a very unusual used scope....it's a Tasco "Custom Shop" 8-40X X 56. It has a large 2 3/8" round wheel on the left side to focus the unit. 30mm tube.....they want $450, is this a reasonable price? Have not seen too many scopes that had 40X power capability...any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Look at the same scope on the other auction site (A.A.) guy has it for $280.00. I asked him about the high price before I saw the 56mm objective. look up under "Tasco Scope".

Blue Tic, that's the same as the one I'm looking at....looks like something you would use on a 50BMG...anyone have any experience with these?

I don't - I was thinking of that for my 22-250 but also saw that straight 36x for $85.00. I had a Tasco varmit 6x24x40 on my .280 and the recoil made it a little fuzzy. I thought these might be OK on a low recoil rifle, but wont put them on anything bigger than the 22-250. I know - I should save up and get a real scope.....
