Plastic AR mags, any good??

What's the word on the Thermold & Orlite(sp?) AR mags that I've seen for sale? Has anyone had any experience with them? Do they feed and function reliably?

I know and don't need to be told that the metal Colt mags are the best. I just want to know about the plastics. Are they really used by the Israeli Defense Forces and Canadian Armed Forces?

    Never had one but was told that the Canadian military uses them.

    When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

    I HAVE THERMOLDS FOR AR15'S & USE BELGUIM PLASTIC WAFFLE MAGS ON A AK47,I USE ONLY 2 AT A TIME AND HAVE HAD THEM FOR OVER 5YRS, NO FAILURES OR MISS FEEDS. THE MAGS HAVE HAD OVER 2,000 RDS THROUGH THEM EACH. IAM HAPPY WITH THEM. WISH I COULD SAY THE SAME FOR RAM-LINE 10/22 MAGS, THEY SEEM TO SPLIT WHERE THEY ARE GLUDED TOGETHER.

    Used for years W/O a single problem. But have to add I'm also a Glock advocate.

    Awesome, thanks for the responses. I'm sorry to say but I trust plastic over metal. I hate that malleable metal feed lips are more prone to damage. It's just that the plastics better be perfect out of the wrapper. You can't "bend" them to shape if they aren't.
