NEF triggers

Me and Bama55 was talking about doing a trigger job on a NEF Handi rifle. I found one place on the web that touches base with doing this, but did not go into great detail on how to do this. Now, I'm no gunsmith but I have a little knowledge on how things work in there. Just about any job that can be done with a jig, vise, dremel, various hand tools and a couple stones I do myself. Now, does anybody know where I can locate some good readin material that goes into detail on this task, or has anybody succesfully done a trigger job on a NEF Handi Rifle? I feel I can knock 1/4 to 1/2 off my 100 yd groups if this trigger did not need excessive force to make the gun go bang.

Any help here? Please!

You can buy the material at numrich gun parts at914-679-2417. I have a Handi Rifle chambered for the .22 hornet and the factory trigger is pretty descent. And it does a number on small game,I also have a cz 452 deluxe in 22 hornet, and I think the Handi rifle is as good to tote around. And they are accurate.Good luck with the trigger job.

I was a gunsmith for 30 years before retiring one year ago. have
lightened triggers on several of these. Not real hard, just a little
time consuming. 7mm nut---from the looks of your e-mail address, I
think maybe you live less than 30 miles from me. Want me to contact
you by e-mail. If so, then I can contact you by phone, and discuss this by phone, or, come on down and I will show you how to do it.

Rugster, thanks for the number. I'll give them a call and see what they have to send me on this, may help with other projects also. Thanks.

BT99, go ahead and email me and we can see what we can do with this, my .223 feels like it has a 10# trigger, I was dry firing it on the bags and noticed the crosshairs moving during trigger pull.
