FR-8 Capabilities

Ok, This question is directed to all of you mauser experts. I have read one billion posts about how you shouldn't shoot .308WIN out of a FR-8. Now, the difference between the .308NATO and .308WIN is case capacity when relating to powder (thicker cases on nato). Right? I own a FR-8 and so does my uncle. We have just recently started loading our own ammo using reloadble nato cases. The reloading book says that they only use nato cases in all of their loadings for WIN and NATO 308.
The 98 action, which is what the FR-8 has, is among the strongest actions in the world. If it can take the pressure of a .416mag, why can't the FR-8 take the pressure of the tiny .308 (when compared to the .416). I have heard so many people go back and forth about not shooting .308WIN out of them. Does any one have some test proven information that indicates yes or no to shooting .308win? Please clear this up! I have tons of .308win ammo but have no gun to shoot it out of!

The FR-8 uses a cold hammer forged barrel (almost identical to the HK-91 barrel) and an improved receiver.
