I bought one of these carbines and just got back from shooting it. All my empty brass had marks showing evidence of powder blowing by back to the head. Also when loading the mag with 10 rounds it is hard to get it to lock in. Have any of you noticed this with yours? Thanks

Reb, I've had one for a little over a year. I've put over 500 Rds. through it, I have not seen the problems you're having with the magazine. Just curious what ammo your using. I'm in no way an expert, but when I use Norinco or Wolf ammo it is dirty.

Some rounds were reloads and some were factory winchester. They work fine in all my other guns.

If it is winchester USA it's going to be dirty. I have shot thousands of 9mm, and .40 S&W Win USA and the brass has been dirty.

I have no trouble with reloads in mine and that is mainly what I shoot. I have no more problems loading the mags than any other mags for other guns. Have not used the winchester ammo, but with what factory ammo I have used, I haven't seen any problems.

If you still have problems with your gun I would contact Hi-point. They have a life time warranty on guns. They may also have you try a few different things. I have a Hi-point 9mm and have never had a single problem with it. Good luck
