Unidentified military firearm

I found in the attic an old gun which I believe my grandfather used in the army. There is only one manufacture mark that I can find which is a very small "BNF" with a crown next to it and the date 1946. It also has stamped on the butt "Made in England." Any idea as to its origin? Thanks.

Yes, It was made in England. If you want to know more you need to state, rifle, pistol, etc and If Cap'n Kirk is going to let you know exactly what you have he will want a picture

Let me get my crystal ball and tarot cards. Hmmm..... Yes, it is made in England. Hmmmmm.... it is a Webley ground down to use .45acp, and it was once used by Winston Churchill.
