I'm in the market for a .357 revolver with a 6" bbl. I've checked out all the regulars, Taurus, S&W, etc., but I never really considered Rossi. Hell, I thought all they made were little snubbies. Well I saw one that looked pretty nice at the gun shop yesterday. Although I didn't get to hold it, I'd like some opinions on these revolvers. I know they are owned by Taurus, now.

I have a 2" Rossi I won at a shooting match, and it has an exceptionally nice action. It is a stainless 5 shot .38 spl. Many people dont think much of Rossi's, and I probably would have never bought one, but the price was right on this one. I really like it, for the money they seem to make a very nice gun.

I have a Rossi 357 with a 6" barrel, the "Cyclops" model as the company calls it. While im not sure if the gun is still in prduction or not, i know i mine is a terrific gun. It has never had any sort of problem/malfunction and is more accurate (slightly) than my 6" barreled Ruger GP-100. I found the gun extremely comfortable in the shop when i first saw it but when i saw the price it sold me. I couldnt have asked for a better deal. Hope this helps.

Rossi has improved the quality of their weapons greatly over the years. If I liked the gun I wouldnt hesitate to buy it.

I have a Rossi .38 snub and it is top-quailty. Close your eyes and pop the cylinder open and spin it, you'd think it was a Smith and Wesson.
