Value of S&W 5904 and Taurus 66 Stainless

Hi,

I am new to the forum. I would like to sell two guns but I want to know what a fair price is for each. The first gun is a 9mm, S&W all steel (black in color). I am selling it with two magazines and an aftermarket case. The serial is TCV1238.

The second gun is a 357/38 Special Mag, 6 shot Stainless steel, walnut handle Taurus. The serial number is IK232249. I think the model number is 66. I am not sure.

Any guestimates on fair price are really appreciated. Also, if you have a good idea on how to sell them, please let me know.

    Thanks for the advice. Both guns are in excellent conditon. Both have been kept in boxes and oiled and maintained. I have seen the grading system and the S&W is a 85% and the Taurus is a 85 to 90%. The S&W does have some dis-coloration around the trigger. I am selling the S&W with (2) 14 capacity magazines.

    Thanks for any advice you can offer. What is the best way to sell them? I have talked to some local dealers and they all want to low ball me.

    What is the barrel length on the Taurus?

    I believe it is a 6" barrel. If you measure from end to end (firing pin to where the bullet comes out) it is 8 ".

    Even if this forum weren't sponsored by Gunbroker, I would still recommend their auction as the best way to sell your guns. If they don't sell, you don't pay.

    Be sure you read their rules, as well as federal law. State who will pay shipping and your return policy. Start your auction at a price that you would be willing to accept, and hope that you will get a higher bid. Post at least 1 high quality photo, preferably more.

    Your posting shows the danger of using vague words like "excellent"; you go on to describe them as 85% and 85-90%, which fails to meet MY definition of "excellent". You must describe them in complete detail. Other answers you got should help you understand the kind of things buyers would want to know.
