Does anyone know a web site that lists the manufacture dates of certain Ruger guns according to their serial numbers? This was posted some time before but I misplaced the web site reference. Considering a Mini-14 #183-xxxxxx, and want to know the date of manufacture. Thanks for the help.

You can phone them long distance and they will tell you the year of manufacture after you supply the serial #. I did this for my KP89 that I bought here on gunbroker. Should have done it before 'cause it was older than what was represented.

Looking at my 2002 Ruger catalog (928) 778-6555 - AZ for P series Pistols as well as PC4, PC9 and (603) 865-2442 - NH for other products.

Check their website to be sure so you don't wast a nickel at www.ruger.com

I think you are best off to 'phone them.

My pistol is 304-4373x and that chart says it is a 93 and Ruger says it was a '92 and the plastic box that came with my pistol has 92 on it.

    Anyway to each his own.

    my 2 shrinking cents anyway

Of course I like small animals - especially when they are prepared in a rich gravy!

Thanks for your help on this post. Just picked it up this morning at a real deal of a price, a preban 1983 stainless Mini-14. Be good to your local dealer and he will be good to you.
