I have never used these slugs but can recommend Federal sabots. At 100 yards it is as accurate as my 270. My slug barrel is scoped, so that probably helps a lot. I seem to think that they begin dropping prettly quickly around 125 yards (around 8 inches I think) I have taken several deer with this setup, the longest shot was around 80 yards.Hit a nice 8 point right between the eyes and he flipped over backwards so the power is definitely there. Hope this helps.

YOU CAN TRYUTHEM ALL BUT IF YOU TRY BRENNEKE (MADE FOR RIFLED AND SMOOTH BORE SHOTGUNS) YOU WILL BE AMAZED AND SATISFIED. THEY ARE ALSO LESS EXPENSIVE. WE ARE RESTRICTED TO SHOTGUNS IN THE SWAMPS WHERE I HUNT HERE IN FLA. AND WE WOULD NOT USE ANYTHING ELSE. YOU WILL NOT SUFFER WITH LEAD FOULING EITHER. IF YOUR GUN IS RIFLED BARRELED THEN TRY THE GOLD HEAVY MAGNUM 3" AND IF NOT TRY THE LIGHT OR HEAVY FIELD MAGNUM.

That should be a sweet combination out to a 100yds or so you will be happy to see the Stopping power of a 12ga slug.Killed my first one with a slug 3-4yrs back.I was amazed how well it wdrked.

    Happy Hunting.

The BRI was one of the first sabot'd rounds available for a shotgun. The slugs themselves aren't really known for expanding much (did kill one buck with one and the exit hole was pretty much the same size as the entry hole) but there shouldn't be any accuracy problems - but you never know, they say ever gun is different.

I try about ever slug I can find and use the one my guns likes best. My 11-87 likes Activ 2 3/4 for regular slugs and the Winchester 385 gr Supreme sabot. The Winchester 385 gr. is probably best if you're looking at longer shots - what it gives up in weight, it make up for in retained energy out past 75 or 80 yards.
