I have a right handed 700 BDL 270 blue with gray laminate stock, would like to put stock on a 700 BDL SS 270 (neither is box magazine)if I can find a SS 270. Can this be done? Just bought the 270 laminate and it seems to been made in 1997 or so I think.

I have an older Remington mountain rifle that came through with a wood stock, and I'm not sure now if it had a drop floorplate or not.(It's been a while since I done it).
But anyway, I installed a factory synthetic stock on it with a blind magazine and it worked fine for me.

It has no problem shooting good groups, and holding its zero. I like it much better without the floorplate. More comfortable carrying it.
