I have a 1950's turkey call that I am trying to obtain some information on as to its value or collectability. It is a W.J. Walker Wild Game Calling Device (patent 2,643,483 file June 13, 1952). It is a compact cylinder type device painted lacquer black. The call is activated by turning the top of the cylinder. I went to the U.S. Patent website and copied the patent information. I have never seen another call like this one and all my internet inquires have been useless. Is there a collector out there that may be able to tell me more about the device. I don't know whether I have a one of a kind prototype or whether there were a million of these devices made. The call was patented by William J. Walker, Saganaw, Pa.
