Gun Safe Maintenance

Is there any maintenance required for the locking mechanism? I have had my safe for close to 10 years and I wondered if it would be worthwhile to remove the inner door panel to inspect, clean and lubricate the bolt mechanism. It is a Fort Knox safe.

Thanks

Unless the lock is acting up ( grinding dial, bolts sticking or sluggish) I would not worry about it.
If it is acting up then yes, only use dry graphite to lube the mechanism.

Thanks, No grinding or sticking. However, from time to time the first time I put in the code (Electronic lock) the lock does not release. This happened quite a bit in the previous location but I think the safe was not level and the door was pushing against the bolts. I moved the safe recently and with everything level I have only seen this once.
