I have one NIB. Can't find much info on this. Recollection is a minimum amount were manufactured and might be worth something to collectors. Any input would be appreciated.

    Certainly not a limited production item, they can easily be found on the GB auctions. I would guess a collector would pay $600-700 for it NIB, but many older S&W's would sell for that much or more.

    There were a lot more than you think [:0] Our local traded theirs in a few years ago, as did other LEO,s and they hit the used gun market [;)]

    The only 645's with any collector interest are the first few hundred. They had a serial range beginning with "TAK" and a four digit number. The first few hundred were supposed to be forged frames as opposed the the later cast ones. Several teething problems with the model led to recalls, especially for the safety.
