Stopped by the local store to pick up some 12/20 shells for my son and I - dove hunting tomorrow. I was looking at Federal (blue box)
"Heavy Field" #6 3 1/4 dram or "Hi Brass" #6 3 3/4 dram. Difference of 90 FPS but twice the price - $8.49 vs. $15.99! I don't think the extra 90 FPS is a big deal and I know the dove will not care. It seems the high brass are just a sell job. Now a few dollars difference would be ok. Could a "low brass" handle the higher dram or is the high brass needed when you get to a certain load? With my A-5, I set my friction ring based on the brass. I guess I should set it based on the dram but where is the cutoff between a light and heavy load?

And there was a pallet full of Rem UMC 9mm for $270/case. Glad I picked up mine for $100/case.
