I have a 228 with a 13rnd mag. I'm thinking of selling it. I know what it's worth book value, I'm looking to get $400.00, but what should I expect to get from a dealer. I'm thinking around $300.00, and I'm not selling for that much. Any ideas, should I private sale it?? Thanks

Should bring that amount quite easily, but not from any dealer or pawnshop. If the pistol is in good condition and it is a factory hi-cap mag, I would start out for at least 450, more if the condition warrants it.Hope this helps..

There's one on Gunbroker with a bid on it at 450. Judge the value by what people are willing to give, not what the book says.
