As is always the case, Condition is the key! In the 22nd Edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values, you will find a 98% gun's estimated value to be $725. If rated at 100%, it is supposed to be worth $150 more than that, or $875. It is also suggested that if NIB condition, to add an additional 10%. That would be $962.50 in the box with all factory paperwork that it came with. It also mentions that "This model was also available in satin nickel finish (scarce)." Even though it makes this notation, it doesn't offer an adder for such a finish so it must not be too "scarce." Hope this helps a little. The new edition of the Blue Book should be out in April. If this last 12 months is any indication, I would expect the Blue Book to reflect much higher prices for all Colts. This is only a guide and many of the models have sold for much more than the values listed during the past year. Good Luck!
