Mossberg .22 trigger problem

I have an OLD Mossberg .22LR semi-auto rifle with a 7rd detatchable mag. Over the years I have put many thousands of rounds through it. Well, the rounds fianlly caught up to it, and the trigger stopped working - it won't will no longer fire. Is it worth getting it fixed, or should I just break down and buy a new gun?
