I have an old Iver Johnson top brake .38 S&W.It belonged to my Grandfather, he was with the Los Angeles Co. Sheriff's Dept. circa 1903. It is missing most of the interior parts. Hammer block safety, springs, etc. I think both the .32 and the 38 S&W were built on the same frame. Are the interior working parts from a .32 interchangable with an .38 S&W.Thanks in advance for your imput.

I have a nickel plated Iver Johnson revolver that appears to be 38 s&w. The serial number on the bottom of the trigger guard is 45024.

Can anyone tell me when the gun was manufactured? It was reportedly carried by the marshal of Michigan, North Dakota in the early 1900's.

    thanks

I have a chance to obtain an Iver Johnson 38 S&W top break with the s/n 64XXX on the trigger guard. It has the usual Iver Johnson name id on the barrel top and no other markings anywhere else. It looks and handles like it is new out of the box. Both sides of the receiver frame are copper colored and the rest of the revolver is blue. One piece wood grip with no owl head. Any idea of the time of manufacture and story behind this sturdy feeling revolver? It is a handsome gun. I know Iver Johnson top breaks are weaker than other designs, and aren't the best for daily shooting, but this seems like it would be a reliable occasional shooter. Thanks for everone's help.

I recently was given an old Iver Johnson revolver that belonged to my great grandfather. I believe it is a .38 cal, top break, 5 shot with a safety on the trigger similar to a glock. It has plastic grips with an owl at the top. On the barrel it says Iver Johnsons Arms & Cycle Works Fitchburg Mass, USA followed by several pat. dates. SN which is located on the bottom of the grip is 7366. Any info would be greatly appreciated

It depends on which model you have. Some 32 came in a small frame and the 38 came in a large frame. Some parts will even interchange between the two frames.Sear spring, firing pin etc. I should have any parts for this gun that you may need.If you decide to repair it send me a list of everything you need. Thanks.
