Anybody have a clue to what a NIB. Colt-Blue-9x23, with kit to convert to 38 super would be worth?

$750 - $1000 depending on the age and model of Colt, and, your location.

I'm going by what I have seen them for around here (South Texas). For some reason, the 38 Super is a Hot item in these parts. Plain Jane Springfield Mil Specs in 38 Super are $475, Colts are going for at least $650, dual caliber kits around $750 or more, tricked out or customized (pimp guns) up to $1000 or more like the Capitan, General, Obrameister, etc.

    rballi,

I think the reason .38Super is so popular in your neck of the woods is the high ethnic Mexican population there. I've read that in Mexico, it is illegal for civilians to own firearms in military/police calibers (9mm) so the .38Super became very popular. That's also why Colt came out with the "EL" series of .38Super chambered Gov't Models.
    It's all demographics.

    Thanks all.
The one I have is only the second one I ever saw. It has never been shot, I picked up some winchester silvertips (9x23). I am really temped to "bust" it off. Then again I guess it will help hold the safe down for awhile longer. One more question wonder what the 38super conversion kit is worth by itself, its still in the bubble rap.
    Thanks again......
