Does anyone have experience or information about the beretta 96 in black stainless and how well this finish holds up? How new is this finish on the beretta's and can the plastic guide rod in these gun be replaced with a metal rod?

Thanks In Advance

Can you convert a Beretta 96 to a Centurion model by just swaping the slide, barrel, recoil spring and guide rod ? If so can you get the spring and guide rod from beretta or another source?

    Thanks

Hey everyone!!! I go a question. There may be someone out there that can help. I recently purchased a Beretta 96 DAO Centurion. I have others (Brigadeer 96, Beretta 96 Stainless, Beretta M9 , 92F & 96 Vertec). I was wanting to know if anybody has ever converted one fron double-action only to single/double action.

Also, I am looking to get a Beretta 8040 Cougar S&W for a descent price. So, if there is anyone who has converted a DAO to single/double action, let me know. [/b][/b]

I own a Beretta 92f and really like it. I am thinking about selling it and moving up to the Beretta 96. I have heard some negative reports about the reliability of the Beretta 96. Does anyone have any insight into this?

Is the Beretta 96 ( the g or fs ) an all steel frame gun or is it a polymer frame. Thank you, Joe

Gun finishes, other than plain stainless, never seem to live up to a truly long lasting one. All metals seem to get their share of nicks and scratches anyway. If you want a gun for use and enjoy, plan on it. If you want one to collect, keep it in the case.
