    I don't think winchester made a 357? I'm sure I will be corrected if I'm wrong. They made a 375, maybe this is what you were thinking of? Marlin made a lever action in 357. Hope this help, lets see if someone else knows for sure.

    This gets even tougher a .357 caliber with an 18 1/2 in. barrel. I went to the website but could not find what i was looking for.

    Also go to Gunbroker Home Page http://gunbroker.com and go to Search and type in Winchester 94 357 Magnum.

    You might have to purchase one with a 20" barrel and have it shortened to 18.5". You can also check with http://www.GunsAmerica.com or http://www.*.com and see if anyone might have one with a 18.5" barrel. I have seen some listed with shortened barrels. But I do remember if it was in 357. You can also check out The Gun List http://www.collect.com/interest/periodical.asp?Pub=GL. You can also pick it up at a book store or supermarket.

    the patriot: I've had 2 winchester 94's in 357 mag and had feeding problems with both , never will have another one, marlin makes a very nice one that comes with a 16 1/2 inch barrel maybe you should check it out

    I don't remember the model - but mine was called 94A.E. (Angle ejection, and prepared for scopemounts of some sort.)

    Yup, it did have "feeding problems" - mostly because 357Mag cartridges aren't too easy to get here, as it isn't a usual caliber here.
    but also because the cartridge would sometimes point upwards, and get crammed between the barrel and bolt. (that thingy that does it for the breech - the flippety-forward/backward-thingy.. totally missed the english word for it.. hehe)
    I think it was because i used full-copper-jacketed flatnosed bullets...

    The 30-30 worked flawlessly... most of the times. =o)

    but both had the same feedingproblems - the reason was my thumbs.. hehe.
    Just as well as 95% of all computers have the same problem... the problem was identified... It's called Microsoft.



    I love my silenced .22 Anshutz rifle =o) And soon to be Steyr Scout with 10-round ext-set. ;o_

    Patriot: found your rifle , its a older model before Marlin started putting the cross bolt safty on their rifles , it should shoot just fine , I did notice it looks in the picture like the elevator for the rear sight is missing, no big thing but it will cost a couple of bucks to replace if its not there, also the seller says actual cost for shipping if I were you I would get a ball park figure before I bid, go to UPS.com and do a rate search use his city and your zip with about 8 pounds for weight and $250 for insurance, should come out to about $12 for ground with insur. Also the $250 is getting to the upper limits for this gun, by the time you put in the shipping and FFL transfer cost you're going to be at about $280 or within about $75 - $100 cost for a new one, just something to think about ,, hope this helps

    Have you considered a Rossi 92? You would have to have the 20" barrel shortened to 18.5". You can check out GunsAmerica, * or Gunbroker for a Rossi 92 in 357. Gunlist also and Shotgun News.

    By the way just curious. Why 18.5"?

    Found a few Marlins in 357 Magnum for you. They have either 18" or 18.5" barrels??? They are a few others but the barrel lengths are not mentioned. I do not know much about Marlins. I went to Search at GA and typed in 357 Magnum under Marlin Rifles.
