    Toold..,
Remington produced 3 different 20 Ga. guns..... 20Ga. standard..The oldest.. built on the 12 & 16 Ga. receiver. The 20 LW...Don't know much about that one. The LT-20 smaller frame and the latest production..I don't know if the 28 will interchange with the 20, but I just bought a 28 and I have a 20-LW.... so I'll look close when it arrives and try and get back with you...

My 28 ga. is just marked Remington 1100. However it is a skeet gun. What is the date code on your barrel? A look at their catalog for that year might shed some light on this puzzle.

To toold: have my rem. 1100lw in hand and I don't think it can be done. Why do it? My 1100lw is almost as old as yours. ser.#L8132xxJ. I have used it for everything except deer and waterfowl.Consider calling your nearest Rem. Repair station. I have found them very helpful. Paid 181.00 new maybe 25-30yrs. ago. But on gb they have been going from your price on up. Enjoy it and you'll never regret.sincerely hunterinthethumb.

Dear Don: Did some more thinking on your ll00 28. If my memory serves me well, About the time I bought mine Rem. made a matched pair of small gauges. 28 and 410. I think the 28LWasbased on the 410 receiver. Accordeing to parts list some parts may be interchangeable. Also you may find getting you full choke changed to imp. cyl. may be beneficial. Of course depending on what you want! Sometimes extra barrels are available on GB on the parts section. Also I have enjoyed reloading the 28. Gives a broader choice of loads, is fun, and saves ,money! sincerely, JOE (hunterinthethumb)
