I just purchased an AK 75rd. drum, and I was looking for anyone who has had experience with them.I have the Chinese one, that you can load from the back. What are some do's and don'ts concerning these brutes?
Are there any common problems with them? How many time should you wind the spring, etc.?

If you don't have the directions, make sure the swing arm is all the way to the left. Load point first. Directions state 7-10 turns on key. I found 10 was not enough to fire 75, and after 50 had to turn it 4 more. make sure spring is uncoiled by pushing the button in the key before opening. You will probably have to fire off a bench or prone position as the rifle will be too heavy for standing.

When loading the 75rd drum, insure that you load it completely. Do not skip any of the positions. If you do the drive unit may turn at an accelerated rate and can damage the gear assembly and the ramp into the tower.
