I had been communicating through the mans son tryng to sell me the rifle and his son was wrong about what it is.So I called him directly before he went to work. Its a M-39 Mosin Nagant Sniper in 7.62x54 w/cleaning kit, sling, case ammo, and a 6x40 russian scope. He said that it is a true sniper version and he paid $350.00 for it but he likes me and he has enough rifles so he will let me get it cheap while he needs money. And I think he said it was made in Finland I believe. He has always seemed like a fair man but I dont ever trust anyone trying to sell me something completely. He says the scope is really good and the finish is around 85%.So what do you think for $150.00?He said I can come by later and shoot a few rounds to see hw I like t but just cause it shoots good doesnt mean the price is right.Sorry for the bad post I will be better informed next time.Thank You

I bought it!!!!I went and shot here just a little while ago.Had a pretty significant kick but no problem. It was definately more accurate than I was thinking.I didnt measure out my group but it looked like a 3 leaf clover at 100yards.I only fired 3 shots and was sold. The scope is very clear with good clear adjustment all the way through. The scope has on the rangefinder out to 750 yards. It was worth 150.00.Im definately pleased with my purchase

He also gave me a copy of shotgun news where I can get 760 rounds of 7.62x54r for $60.00.Anybody know of any where cheaper maybe. He said thats a good price but I could still find it cheaper if I looked into it some.

While I was there he let me shoot his Browning A Bolt it was a .300 win mag.Kick was pretty harsh and a bit loud loud with that BOSS system. But what a beautiful rifle.I didnt want to give it back.Shot better than any rifle I have ever shot. But I still like my M-39 just not as much.

Still accurate enough to take some deer and hogs and $150.00 for a good deer and hog rifle isnt bad.So I didnt get hosed too bad.Im not really a snier so I dont guess I need a sniper rifle.Better than droping $750.00 on a typical bolt gun.First season I take it out it will pay for itself in all the moey I save on meat for a few months. And ammo seems to be dirt cheap. It doesnt say inter-ordnance on it though.Where should I look on the gun for it?I have to clean it good but I can make out the date it has a hammer and sickle on the very rear of the receiver and it says M-39 M.N Finnish on the left side of the barrel I see how many numbers match tonight when I disasemble it anad clean it and see if I cant find the inter-ordnance mark.

    E. Williams,

    $60 for 760 rds of 7.62x54R? According to my math, that's $1.58/box. Considering I usually pay $6/box for Wolf I'd say that's a steal. I'd make sure it's non-corrosive, but I don't like to clean, so that's just me I guess.

I was thinking Inter-Ordnance was the maker I didnt know it was a supplier.Do you know of anything to be done to further improve accuracy? Are there better comanies to get parts and extras from other than Inter-Ordnance?I will take it out to my land after Im done grilling today and fiddle with the scope some and see what groups I can measure.I can only get ot to 150 yards but that should be sufficient to see what Im dealing with. Thanks for your posts.

Inter-Ord is a importer of surplus weapons.
Enjoy your new rifle Mr Williams.
Don't worry about all the negative comments, some people arn't happy unless they're wizzing in someones Wheaties.

Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.
