gskyhawk, I appreciate it!! I saw a Burris mount advertised somewhere that was made for the Rugers but I'm thinking it was to take their "Z" rings. All I want is something with the slots for the Weaver style mounting system. Somebody's got to make one!! If not, I'll need to go to the machine shop and come up with one because I'll bet there's a lot of people in tne gun world tonite that could use one!! GHD

Checked my catalogs today and B-square lists a mount for the nm blackhawk that looks just like my weaver mount.

gskyhwk, THANKS!!! Went to their site and will call Monday AM!!! This is for a friend and I'm trying to be the good neighbor guy!!! Holosights are the cat's meow when shooting a handgun!!! If I'd had them 10 years ago I'd be something!! But I guess I'll just have to be pleased to shoot sub MOA groups and kill groundhogs at ridiculously long distances with handguns!!!! THANKS A BUNCH!! ghd: any time, always glad to help out, and I have to agree with you on the holosight for a hunting handgun, just can't be beat, they work darn good on my encore 209x50cal too, if you live where you can't use a scope more than 1x for blackpowder season, try it

gskyhawk, I live where you can shoot ANYTHING that loads from the front end!!! Scopes, holosights, lasers, it all will work as long as it loads from the front end!! I DISAGREE!!!!!! Give me the first week to use a Lyman Trade Rifle, A Hawken or whatever as long as there's no special sight attached!!! 2nd week, let em' shoot whaatever they want too as long as it loads from the front end!!! You would'nt beleive the reports that you can hear that first morning of blackpowder that I know didn't have FFFg behind it!!!!! Or for that matter Pyrodex or Pyrodex Supreme or Tripple 7!!!!!! However, a Holosight would be a vast improvement over what was originally available!!! Naa! Don't want to do that!! It's too much fun to do it the old way!!! GHD

ghd: don't get me wrong I agree that using a traditional type rifle is a lot more fun and also more of a challenge. but I also really like hunting with my encore and on that a holosight works a lot better for me than a 1x scope or the open sights.
Here in Wi we have a few different hunting laws to say the least , like during the regular gun season which comes before the pd season we have areas that are limited to shotgun , handgun or muzzle loader and during that season you can use anything you want to on your muzzle loader but during the muzzle loader season which follows the week after the gun season thats when you can't use any scopes of magnification, must be a front loader with blackpowder only, hope this makes sense .
Any if you want to take a look see at a couple of front loaders I have up for sell go over to AA and look at 2906327 and 2906402
