LYMAN REAR SIGHT, WINCHESTER 94

I have a LYMAN # 2 rear sight from a 1928 Winchester 94. It is missing the TANG APERTURE. I have sent it to LYMAN and it was returned with the explanation that parts were no longer available. There are new total replacements out there but I would like to maintain the integrity of this old Rifle. Does anyone know of any parts person or a GunSmith that may be able to accommodate me in locating this missing part. Thanks, Larry

You might try Brownells - they sell the Lyman #2 sight, and in my catalog just below it they have apertures made by Merchant for "all Lyman and Williams rec. sights". The picture in the catalog looks like the one that's in the #2 (I've got two of them here). Brownells web site is http://www.brownells.com/index.html and you can search it.
