Im in the process of saving for a Springfield MIl-Spec.But I went and checked out some gun buyers guides at the local library and didnt get around to reading them tonight. They had a 5 page review i one of the guides about the CZ-97B and the accuracy looked very good.Does anyone have one of these pistols and if so how is reliabilty/accuracy?I like how it looks better than the Mil-Spec and it has a 3 way hammer drop safety. If you all have any good things to say about this pistol I might have to go for one of those. Are they on the same quality level?

I dont have the CZ97 .45acp but I do have two or three other CZs. They are a hidh quality firearm that is accurate, reliable and will sshoot most anything threw them. There is guns as good but none better than the CZ75B 9mm.

    Good luck.

Not having any experience with the Springfield, I can't compare it. However, I have enjoyed mine and after having the ramp altered to reliably feed SWC bullets, it has been great. Very comfortable to shoot. Rather large so if you have less than average size hands it might be a bit more than a handful. Local gunshop has one like new in box for somewhat less than new retail, that has also been polished since this seems to be a bit of a problem with this model. Of course a lot of 45's won't feed SWCs without a little fiddling to get them to work. If you want to contact the shop, e-mail me at roysha@frii.com and I'll give you name and number.

I have a CZ 75B-SA .40, single action. For the price I was extremely impressed with its performance. More accurate than alot of more expensive firearms. I understand that they are very popular in european competitions as a platform for race guns. Here its seems we tend to favor the 1911.

As far as the CZ97-B, I've seen and held them, but never shot them. I'm sure that their equally as accurate and functional as the 75. Fit and finish is very nice.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.
