remington 700 adl vs. bdl

Was wondering how to tell the difference between an adl and a bdl. I have an older(25+ years)700 with a trap-door style magazine if that helps. I'm trying to sell it and thought it would be nice if I knew what it was that I was selling.
thanks.

The BDL has a very shiny stock, where as the ADL does not have the shiny finish is the easiest way.

I believe the adl's magazine is blind(solid wood on boottom of stock forward of the trigger guard)where as the bdl has a drop plate forward of the trigger guard.Regards.

hubein00 IS CORRECT AS BASIC ID. BDL ALSO GENERALLY MORE BELLS AND WHISTLES THAN ADL

You have a BDL. No question about it. What caliber is it, are you going to put it on auction or sell it private.

It's a 30-06. And, yes, I am selling it on gunbroker.

Did the older model adl not have the magazine drop latch,I was thinking the older ones had the same type magazine. But my memory dont always serve me well??

rUGSTER, Your memory ain't working well tonite!! ADL always had blind magazines, only BDL's had floorplates and drop out magazines. ADL should be more inherently accurate due to solid stock. That's why one of the (if not the most accurate) production guns in Remingtons lineup is the Synthetic ADL!! GHD

The BDL has the drop floorplate, 2 screws hold the action into the
stock, and a fancier stock (with the black
piece on the forend), and I think the checkering is cut. The ADL has
the blind magazine, and the stock is solid forward of the trigger, and has pressed checkering, also there are 3 screws that hold the action into the stock.

Don't send flowers when I die. Send money now, I can buy more ammo.
