What is the value of a 20+ year old Remington 700 rifle, 30.06 in pristine condition with a scope, sling, and case? I have had it for years, and only used it once, so was thinking of selling it, but have no idea of its worth?

Jennifer, go to your local Wal-Mart. They sale Remington 700's in 30-06 and 270 caliber. You can figure from the new price of one over there. Another thing is this. What brand and what size scope is on the gun?

Is the gun a ADL or BDL model. What scope is on the gun. We need this info.

The Remington 700 is a bdl with a 4 X 32 scope. Thanks for the feedback! Jennifer

Jena, values vary regionally and depend upon how badly someone wants what you have. You might get $500 for the rifle. 4x scopes are not as popular as variables, but the brand not the magnification is what is most important. A Tasco will add nothing to the price, an older Weaver maybe $50, and a Leupold substantially more. Most of us would rather buy without scope and make our own choice.

    Jena,
Welcome aboard, hope you have fun here.

The wholesale cost on a new BDL is $470.00 plus shipping. Then you can figure the accessories on top of that.

Hi, If your gun is nice and original, about 300-350. If the scope is good like a burris or leupold with rings and bases of the same add about 100-125.

    Jena,
I don't want to criticize martzkj, but I would go for $425-475 and no less for that rifle, describing it like you did. If you have the original box for it, that's a plus.
I told you what they wholesale for , and not everyone can buy them for that. Wholesale 470.00 plus 20.00 shipping, total $490.00 plus dealer markup (depending who sells it) 20%.

Do like Mudbug says, go to a Wal-Mart and a gun shop and see what they get. That will give you the best idea what the market is.

Bullelk, no offense taken. I was just basing the price off of a 700bdl in 280 with a nikon buckmaster 3-9 I just bought last week from a dealer. The price was $500.00 and the gun was excellent shape. Some places the prices maybe running higher. This is the great thing about the auction. You can get the most for the gun if sold here. Plus you can find things that you can't in your area.
